Sustainable Tourism Development Support Program 2024
The Sustainable Tourism Development Support Program, announced by the Western Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA), has been launched to diversify tourism activities, promote green transformation, and enhance environmental sustainability.
Program Objectives and Priorities
- Expanding tourism from coastal areas to the entire region.
- Encouraging creative tourism by supporting innovative projects.
- Developing outdoor sports tourism and improving infrastructure.
- Facilitating new investments and upgrading existing facilities in ecotourism.
- Supporting environmentally friendly infrastructure and green transformation projects in tourist facilities.
Example Project Topics
1. Creative Tourism:
- Organizing workshops where tourists can experience local production processes.
- Projects that protect traditional crafts and integrate them with tourism.
- Transforming regional architectural and cultural values into tourist activities.
2. Sports Tourism:
- Creating cycling routes and establishing maintenance and rental centers.
- Projects for outdoor sports activities such as rock climbing, paragliding, and diving.
- Upgrading sports facilities to meet international standards.
3. Ecotourism:
- Setting up camping and caravan areas.
- Developing mountain climbing and trekking routes.
- Establishing stargazing areas.
4. Green Transformation:
- Installing systems that utilize renewable energy sources.
- Developing zero-waste management systems.
- Implementing wastewater recycling and energy efficiency projects.
Support Elements and Conditions
- Total Budget: 50,000,000 TRY
- Support Per Project:
- Minimum: 500,000 TRY
- Maximum: 7,000,000 TRY
- Repayment Terms: 9 months non-repayment period, total 36 months interest-free loan.
- Project Duration: Maximum 9 months.
Who Can Apply?
- For-profit enterprises operating in the TR61 Region (Antalya, Burdur, Isparta).
- Enterprises directly responsible for preparing and managing the projects.
Activities Not Supported
- Projects carried out in five-star hotels and holiday resorts.
- Projects solely focused on solar energy-based power generation systems.
- Real estate investments such as land, building, or vehicle purchases.
- Education or scholarship projects.
- Leasing or second-hand equipment purchases.
- Projects initiated before the agency agreement is signed.
- Projects already funded by another public institution for the same purpose.

Applications must be submitted through the Development Agencies Management System (KAYS).
