TÜBİTAK BIGG 2025-1 Call is Open!

Investment Opportunity for Entrepreneurs with Up to 500,000 TL in Funding

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) has announced the 1812 - Investment-Based Entrepreneurship Support Program (BiGG Investment) 2025-1 Call to support technology-driven and innovative business ideas. Within this program, selected entrepreneurs will receive investment in exchange for 3% equity and financial support of up to 500,000 TL.

The primary goal of the program is to commercialize innovative and technology-based business ideas, facilitate entrepreneurs' access to funding, and strengthen Turkey’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Who Can Apply?

• University graduates and students: Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral students, as well as graduates, can apply.
• Technology and innovation-focused entrepreneurs: Individuals with research and development (R&D) or technology-based business ideas are eligible.
• Entrepreneurs without an established company: Applicants should not have an officially registered company at the time of application.

Funding Amount, Equity Ratio, and Covered Expenses

• Investment for 3% equity: TÜBİTAK BiGG Fund will invest in eligible entrepreneurs in exchange for 3% of their company shares.
• Up to 500,000 TL in financial support: Selected entrepreneurs can receive funding of up to 500,000 TL to develop and commercialize their business ideas.
• Co-investment opportunity: TÜBİTAK BiGG Fund allows implementing organizations and designated legal entities to provide additional investment support to entrepreneurs.
• Additional Investment Opportunities:
  • An extra investment of up to 1,500,000 TL will be granted to three projects that receive the Excellence Seal and operate in the field of Clean Technologies.
• Covered Expenses:
  • R&D and product development costs
  • Commercialization and marketing processes
  • Company establishment and operational costs
  • Consulting, training, and mentorship services

Application Process and Key Dates

Entrepreneurs interested in the BiGG 2025-1 program must apply through TÜBİTAK-authorized Implementing Organizations since TÜBİTAK does not accept direct individual applications.

Key Dates:

• Deadline for Business Idea Applications: March 7, 2025
• Business Plan Submissions: March 10 – March 14, 2025
• Announcement of Selected Entrepreneurs: June 27, 2025
• Company Establishment and Contract Signing: July 31, 2025
• Start of Support Period: August 1, 2025
